OVA Records was founded in 2004 by artist and producer Holmes Ives as a vehicle to release his original downtempo works and collaborations. Ives (Oko Tek, Memnon, Jette-Ives, Signs) has already worked with some of the best labels in the dance music scene (Bedrock, Shinichi, Yoshitoshi, Renaissance, Hope) but what most people don't know is that Ives' main base of inspiration comes from his melodic downtempo creations. These songs have an emotional quality and depth, a lushness and purity, a seductive timeless form but he had no where to put them. So with a need to share his most treasured works Ives launched OVA Records which will see it's fourth, fifth and sixth album releases in 2006. OVA is also reaching out to many producers and commissioning remixes from the OVA catalogue and will be releasing these singles starting in 2006.
